Welcome to NancyeArtist. I’m a mixed media artist making art with love bringing that joy into your home.
So this is me, the face of NancyeArtist. I’m Nancye, originally from a small village south of Plymouth, England, now living in The Netherlands, Gemert, a village south of Eindhoven. I’ve come full circle from the countryside to the town back to the countryside and I love it. I feel like I’m back home. There are no winding country lanes here, it’s all flat and open but it has it’s own beauty and the smells are just the same! Why am I still here I hear you ask? Well I found my soul mate five years ago now. A tall Dutch man, to whom I am now married and life is good! We recently adopted a rescue dog called Lizzy who needs a lot of attention and love but keeps me extremely busy during the day. She is a wonderful addition to our family along with our three chickens who live in the back garden. We love our animals!
I always loved art as a child. It was where I found my solace and could really express myself fully. I used to love painting and drawing portraits as I felt the soul and emotions of the person really came to life. They weren’t for the light hearted mind you and were quite confronting to those who didnt want to see this part of themselves. It was a way of letting my emotions go too. It was totally freeing and gave me room to breathe in a hectic, confusing and fearful time.
After being diagnosed with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Dissorder about 10 years ago, I turned once again to art as a form of therapy. I discovered a whole new way of working. . On a mission to soothe my soul and treat my broken heart, a search inside for my ‘little me’ found her wanting to use big bright colours and sparkles. Glitter and anything that sparkled! My art slowly developed into what it is today; entirely original and fabulously me!

Looking around in my shop, you may not see quite what it is that you are after. Have no fear! I often work on commisions.
You might like an art piece but would like it in a different colour scheme, or in a larger size. Maybe you would like one of my designs but with different wording, another quote, or your own house made in my unique style.
