Hamsa Hand Protection Talisman

This beautifully handmade Hamsa Hand Protection Talisman makes a real statement piece on your wall. Not only does it look the part and bring a real sense of peace to your room, it will also ward off all those evil spirits too.

This Hamsa Hand Protection Talisman is handmade with mixed media and collage on a large canvas. It measures 50 x 50 x 4cm. The Hamsa Hand Protection Talisman pictures two hands, palms towards you, held together at the pinkies. The background is painted using acrylic paints whereas the hands have been exquisitely decorated with a colourful array of gemstones, glitter, paint, pen and sparkles to name but a few.

The word Hamsa comes from the Hebrew word hamesh, which means five. Hamsa refers to the fact that there are five fingers on the talisman. Khamsah is an arabic word that means five but also refers to images of ‘the five fingers of the hand’. Depicting the open hand, it is an image recognised and used as a sign of protection in many times throughout history. The Hamsa has been traditionally believed to provide defence against the evil eye. Many people believed that an evil person could lay a curse on them just by looking at them. The Hamsa was therefore a necessary symbol and talisman to have about you or in your house to ward off the evil spirits.

SHIPPING TIMES

This piece will be packaged up and delivered as a parcel. To ensure it’s delivery you will have to sign for it. This also means that it will get to you a little faster. Within The Netherlands, hopefully within a few days but definitely the same week. For EU countries it might take a week or two, depending on where you are. For countries outside the EU, please give it 2 weeks. It can take up to 3-4 weeks for letter post to reach USA, Australia etc from here. All post is posted out vis Postnl. All letter box and package post, is sent out with track and trace. You will receive your code once I have posted your item.

Please note: To keep postage costs down, as they have really sky rocketed, you will not have to sign for your item, meaning that if your item is lost in the post, it will not be insured. When an item is posted out, it is no longer under my control to ensure it gets from door to door. Therefore, if an item goes missing during postage, I will not be able to replace the item. You can, however, upgrade to ‘signed for’. This will ensure your items are insured and if lost, replaceable. If you wish to upgrade, please just send me a message and I shall sort that out for you.
